Leh & Zanskar Treking Trip

Day 01: Early morning flight from Delhi to Leh, transfer to Hotel in Leh and rest; Dinner.

Day 02: Morning sightseeing - Shanti Stupa , and Sangkar Gompa ; afternoon rest. Leh ; Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 03: Day trip to the famous Ladakh monasteries - Shey, Thikse, Hemis ; Leh ; Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 04: Full day of sightseeing - Likir Gompa and Alchi Gompa ; Overnight local guest house in Alchi ;Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 05: Continue drive to Lamayuru - sightseeing of village and Lamayuru Gompa ; Drive on to Kargil , sightseeing along the way - Fotu La 4094m, Namika La, Mulbekh. Overnight local guest house in Kargil ; Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 06: Drive the beautiful Suru Valley , from Kargil to Padum; en route visit the remote Rangdum Gompa , then continue via the stunning Pensi La (4400m) ; Overnight local guest house in Padum ; Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 07: From Padum walk to village of Karsha , about an hour and half enjoyable walk across the valley, cross the bridge, not far from which the Stod and Lungnak rivers meet to form the Zanskar River; visit the spectacular site of the Karsha Gompa high above the village; enjoy the great panoramic views of the valley, then walk back to Padum with stops at Pipiting and other hamlets. Overnight local guest house in Padum ; Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 08: Drive to the other side of the Zanskar Valley to Zangla ; visit the Zangla Castle , then drive back to Padum via Stongde Gompa. Overnight local guest house in Padum ; Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 09: Day trip to visit Bardan Gompa and vicinity . Drive to Bardan, visit the gompa, then walk about 4 km to a pleasant village of Mune to visit the Mune Gelukpa Gompa, a great site on a crag on a river bend; then walk back to Bardan and drive back to Padum. Overnight local guest house in Padum ; Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 10: Drive from Padum through Suru Valley back to Kargil. Overnight local guest house in Kargil ; Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 11: Drive Kargil to Mulbekh; visit the wonderful Mulbekh Gompa and enjoy the great site of the village. Overnight local guest house in Mulbekh ; Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 12: From Mulbekh return back to Leh . Hotel in Leh ; Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 13: Full day at your leisure, shopping or rest. Hotel in Leh ; Breakfast, Dinner.

Day 14: Transfer to airport for return flight back to Delhi .
